Pond Construction, Store Sales
Hello my name is Randall Clarke, Owner and Operator of
Clarke Koi Ponds inc.
I started in the pond hobby in 1981 when I was 15 years old. I got my first Koi,
a Bekko, in 1983 and my love for this hobby continues to grow. Through the
years I have built quite a few ponds and attended numerous koi seminars and events
This hobby has been a great learning experience as it transcends so
many of my interests. I'm an avid reader and have continued my education by attending College Science courses during the Winters (microbiology, chemistry and physics to name a few)
Your Satisfaction is my Goal
If you ever have any questions, problems or issues, feel free to contact me directly by phoning after 7:00 pm EST or sending me an email. I will give the matter my utmost attention. We want you to enjoy the hobby to the fullest and be 100% satisfied with your dealings with us
I work most weekends at the shop if you would like to come in and speak with me personally I would be glad to take the time

Customer Service
Ken joined Clarke Koi Ponds in the Spring of 2010. He brings with him his extensive experience in koi keeping which has spanned 35 years.
He has also spent many years working in the koi industry in the retail sector
Ken originally visited Japan back in the mid 70’s with the British Koi Keepers Society to meet with koi breeders, study some of the top Japanese koi ponds and spend time with the Chairman and other members of the ZNA (Zen Nippon Arinkai – all Japan Koi Society). Even though both the koi and related products have improved dramatically since then, it was a learning experience like no other
Pictured right top is Kens current pond. And the bottom picture illustrates his Koi's winter lodgings
Feel free to stop in and speak with Ken, he works weekends and 2-3 days during the week |

Our goal is to constantly improve and try to be perfect at everything we do. The only way to achieve this is with hands on experience and making a concerted effort to learn.
We reach these goals by building ponds, trying new techniques, reading, attending events and speaking with other pond enthusiasts
This is not a business - it is a passion.
More than once we have not sold a koi to someone when we knew it was going to be dead within a week - rather we offered encouragement to learn the basics so that they would be successful. We have spent $50 dollars to save a $3 koi. We put the fish and our clients best interests before anything else. I think this is the only way to conduct business for 2 reasons. First, from a moral standpoint we try to treat people the way we would like to be treated. Secondly, it doesn't matter if we make the sale or not, the key is to give the correct and honest advice. Doing the right thing, gaining your trust and confidence is what matters most at the end of the day
While others state they are experts, we let our extensive website speak for itself. We are hobbyists here to serve your best interests, not capitalists trying to make a fast buck
Although we cannot guarantee perfection every time, that is always our goal |
